They have the right to make Nazi salutes. That’s protected by the US 1st Amendment. They will not face legal consequences for doing so. What they are suing for is taking away other people’s right to disassociate from them for making Nazi salutes.

The university can tell them to gtfo.

If they want to stand on a public street corner, nazi-salutung like the bags of shit they are, they can knock themselves out.

Yeah, of course. That’s what I’m saying. They aren’t suing for the right to be hateful. They already have that right. They are suing for the right to prevent the university from disassociating from them for being hateful. Which is to say they are suing to remove rights from those who disagree with them.

Oh, it’s legal already. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VfYjPzj1Xw They just don’t want to suffer the consequences.

The University of Florida disbanded its chapter of the College Republicans after one of its reported members, Dylan Estrella, was photographed allegedly throwing a “seig heil” Nazi salute in an online video stream — the photo went viral. Now, the organization is suing the university for allegedly violating its First Amendment free speech rights.

I’m 6’ tall, and I don’t think I have the reach to punch the big guy in pic #1 in the face. And if I punched him in the belly, I think my hand might get stuck/absorbed.

        That may be a child.

And I also can also find not guilty of all charges when I sit on the jury of anyone who could though.

There was a pretty extensive study conducted around the 1930s on how to best engage with a Nazi. Punching isn’t bad per se, but it requires you to be in dangerously close range; and they tend to get back up following the punch, so it’s a very temporary solution. High risk, low reward.

Best practice is bullets and bombs.

I’m locking this because it is a stale article from March of this year. If there was a way I could add flair indicating that instead, I would. This seemed like the best balance of making sure the sub stays focused on current events (rather than just removing the post).

Tolerance is not a paradox, its a social contract. Those who abide by it are protected by it, those who do not abide by it are not protected by it. Don’t let people who don’t believe in tolerance in the first place define the term for you
