I’d like to make an argument. Everywhere I have ever lived, other residents have mentioned that their area’s drivers are the worst in the world.
Following that logic, I don’t believe that humans should be driving. Decent public transit is the barest necessity to improve the life quality of average transportation enthusiasts, as it is the only way to reduce the number of people on the road.
I’ve never heard anyone say that here, but apparently our drivers exams are some of the hardest in the world. From what I’ve seen, in a lot of places drivers education is quite bad. There will always be morons though, but if you stop people from driving because of that a lot of jobs become impossible to do for a lot of people. I don’t think it’s feasible to expect a plumber or electrician to take all their tools on the bus.

Regarding the last part of your comment, you’re right, but on the other side there are lots and lots of jobs that need little to no equipment :)
