Yes but there’s a big difference between IDs and biometric data, not to mention you can (in Europe at least) revoke an ID if you find it’s compromised, you can revoke an ID you can’t revoke your face.

Attaching your financial data and/or private data to something that cannot be changed and CAN be stolen or reproduced is a terrible fucking idea.
While real security technologies are moving toward ephemeral, short-lived credentials to fight credential reuse and theft, we have these fucktards going in the complete opposite direction.
