Usually a vertical row of buttons on the right side of the screen, push each button sequentially from top to bottom and the sound might mute.

Some/most gas stations that auditorily assault us like this also have the option to mute the sound. Usually a vertical row of buttons on the right side of the screen, push each button sequentially from top to bottom and the sound might mute.
