Coming from a convicted rapist “fair shake” is very likely being given essays, a slap on the wrist, and no chance of formal convictions.

I’m still shocked they made them write essays, no punishment at all would actually be less insulting.

How does one even begin with a “I’m sorry I did one of the worst crimes imaginable.” essay with a straight face? I almost wanna read the essays because I’m sure they’ll make me sick and I fucking hate myself.

I doubt any of them went that far. There’s no way they’d admit guilt in an essay. These kids have lawyers.

I imagine something like: “It’s unfortunate that I got caught. Next time I’ll be sure to keep the fun off electeonic communicating platforms. I’m sorry daddy, I’ll be more careful next time.”

I don’t undestand how they could even attempt to write something that shows any true contrition. Leaving aside the question of whether any of them actually believe that they did anything wrong and feel regret, wouldn’t writing any truly meaningful esaay leave them open to procecution? (Although, I guess that would only br a risk if we lived in a world where the police and procecutors give a shit).

He’s not a convicted rapist. It was a civil case, which is about liability, not guilt. There’s no such thing as conviction or acquittal.

He’s a man a jury found to be liable for sexual assault, and that’s how we should describe him.

It’s important that we be correct, because the other side jumps on any tiny thing that’s slightly wrong to justify their outrageous lies. Don’t give ammunition to the “both sides” assholes.

You can’t help but give ammunition to “both sides assholes”, because it’s bOtH sIdEs!

Also, we’re the majority now (40% of voters are independents). Because your party sucks

You should support whomever demands the truth; they’re not the assholes. the truth hurts, take your medicine

I don’t know why you’re attacking that dude. He’s right. Trump wasn’t technically “convicted” of rape like he was convicted of 34 felonies for fraud. He was found liable for defamation for lying about his sexual assault (colloquially accepted as rape) of E Jean Carroll. A jury found it more likely than not that he raped Carroll and lied about it. That a jury said, “yeah he probably raped her” is damning enough.

I’ve seen the term “ajudicated rapist” used a bunch. Basically the judge did assert that Trump did sexually assault Carol but since it wasn’t a criminal trial, he was ajudicated, not convicted. If I recall correctly, NY pretty much only considered an incident to be rape if it penetrative and using a penis, so that’s why it’s SA rather than rape. I think their laws are different now so it would be considered rape today.
