The lemmy updoot seeking. Decades of pro-capitalist and US exceptionalism propaganda is fighting a hard battle in the face of reality. It’s sort of annoying, but seems kind of harmless. It’s like whataboutism knee-jerking because US political discourse is pretty juvenile.
