If you’re lucky you might even make something that you can sell
But first and foremost the goal is to keep the mind busy, really, so that you feel less stressed
That’s what I’ve been doing. Been archiving old photos, VHS tapes and documents that my deceased parents owned. Any tech job I’ve applied to has either yielded rejection or no response. Even for non-tech jobs like comic book shops or gaming shops haven’t responded to my email inquiries about job openings.
I’ve also been playing a lot of video games, mainly PC ports like the recent Donkey Kong Land Remake, Banjo Kazooie Recomp/Lighthouse, Bomberman Hero Recomp, and Pokemon Gen1Recomp.
Another thing, even if it’s with a site builder, having a website that’s basically just “here’s my resume” and linking it at top of your resume is statistically shown to improve replies.
Also, there any agencies in your neck of the woods? They’re fucking vampires, but if you go in aware of that, you can trick them into finding jobs for you by not lying but being creative with the truth and lies of omission. And most don’t charge, but instead go “we take 10% of your first paid wage”
