Man, I wish I was gay. Sometimes it would be nice to spend the weekend doing outdoors stuff instead of thrifting/antiquing.

As a woman that IS into that stuff I can tell you a lot of men SUCK at outdoor stuff. I don’t go with them because they are disorganized over packers who are just looking for a campsite maid/cook to manage the glamp post while they fish. I have a much nicer time when I go solo hiking with my dogs.

Oh, I agree with you. I have my check list of gear, have where it goes in the pack mapped out, and I know the weight to the gram.

I’m usually the one taking on gear for those who tried to pack the kitchen sink.

Same! I want to be able to find things in the dark or an emergency without having to think about it. I don’t care if other people in my group want to bring everything they own with them as long as they take responsibility for carrying it. I won’t carry other people’s gear without a damn good reason. You are way nicer then I am.

No it’s exactly the same. Nobody is into the same stuff, you can go off separately and meet for lunch. You can talk to each other, compromise, blah blah blah.

Personally, I normally just whine like a little bitch until I get my way, but we don’t have to be like me

We like 99% of the same stuff. And I don’t mind thrifting/antiquing. It’s the frequency that’s the main problem.

But I have hobbies that she isn’t interested in too. I think it’s fine to have different things you enjoy spending time doing.

No! Women only have women hobbies! Men only have men hobbies! There’s no overlap whatsoever! That’s why I’m single, so I should know!

My last boyfriend had a hobby of going to yard sales every weekend, and thrift stores for fun 🤢

I don’t mind going. It’s having to come up with dozens of unique responses when my brain is like, “Yup, that’s certainly another shirt.”

But she’d feel the same way if I wanted to go to Microcenter every weekend.
