• Comfortable… Physically, or because of the privacy concerns? 🤔

I could spend all day in current offerings. It was taking it off that made me feel ill* more than being in it.

(*Aside from the time some fat Asp barreling into the slot as I was exiting slammed into me and sent me spinning outta control hella fast in Elite.)

Oh, no, I was thinking having them on. Like, sweat building up, stuff like that, weight.

      • Weight’s not too bad if you have a counterweight so it’s not all in the front. There’s also at least 1 out there (BigPicture, IIRC) that has a headset that’s super small almost like a pair of glasses, but not quite that small. It’s smaller than the Frame is.

Sweat is a mixed bag and there’s a downside to both foam (absorbs sweat, gets nasty, some models also are itchy af) and silicone (becomes slippery, doesn’t breath so you sweat more).

Really the biggest thing keeping it trom becoming a bigger scene is probably the lack of good software. Alyx is still the best thing you can play exclusive to VR. Most other shit is basically mobile shovelware and artsy “experiences”/tech demos.
