    In my European country, mountain rescue is billed thousands of euro and it’s not free, if it was due to stupidity

    I can’t imagine a 20 hour search+rescue being free in the land of the Free

      This is actually an area that America is generally pretty good at i.e. rescues by the US Park Service are generally free, unless there’s obvious gross intelligence.

      Personally, I would consider using AI to plan a trip for multiple people as gross negligence, but considering this current government’s position on AI, I suspect they weren’t charged a penny for it.
