Can’t-miss innovations from the bleeding edge of science and tech
It only took them three and a half years, but the powers that be at OpenAI have apparently directed ChatGPT to start refusing requests to copy a specific author’s style, Ars Technica reports. And it’s causing an absolute meltdown among “writers” who had grown accustomed to using the chatbot to churn out stories.

Maybe get some talent?
These hack “writers” should genuinely just suck up their pride and write fanfiction for a show/movie/book/game/whatever they like. It’s a pretty good way to get into writing on a low stakes level without needing to worry about needing to be a professional writer.
Just drop the genAI and go under a new pen name/handle that nobody knows you under and you can try to find joy in writing without the financial pressure of hoping nobody will notice you are not an actual writer, but instead a clanker dick sucker.
But we all know they would never taken this advice because all these hacks want is quick and easy money without having to get off their 5 ton ass or actually do any work. They’re probably too lazy to even read your comment without needing genAI to summarize it, so no way they’d actually take sound advice.
And skills.
