As a kid, I was targeted by one of the local churches that some of my family members attended at the time. Apparently at some point in early grade school, some of my school peers who went to that church informed the pastor that I believe in evolution. From then on, adults from that church and kids I went to school with coordinated in tandem to ridicule and isolate me – a literal child.
Far too many of these people are evil to their core. If they’ll harass and intimidate other peoples’ children, they’ll surely cross any other boundary. It’s not even about being unintelligent, so many are simply willfully ignorant.
I went into an Orthodox church as a child with my dad, I’m really tall so I looked grown despite being 12 I guess. I was walking out and evidently you’re supposed to face the altar and cross yourself as you leave, walking backwards so your back isn’t to the church. I didn’t do that and this lady freaked the fuck out, grabbed me by the ear and dragged me back into the church screaming about respect. My dad was just standing there laughing at me. She yelled for a good 10 mins. Made me leave properly, including not crossing myself “like the Catholics”, then left. I only knew that way because I’d been in the States up until then and only visited one Catholic church with a friend lol. It scared me so much that I get emotional flashbacks, complete with anxiety attacks, any time I enter a church now. It gave me lifelong fear of religion and churches. I don’t understand how an adult can think this is in any way helping.
I’m part of some “Flat Earth Debate” groups because I love talking about physics
They are definitely out there and it does not matter what reality says because they claim that’s “man” and man never knows better than God
I’m telling you, you could put these people on a rocket, blast them into space, push them out into space with no space suit so they can see the round spinning “water ball” with their own un-filtered eyes and moments before their head froze in the vacuum of space their last thought would be, “the devil has taken my eyes”
Some of them have proven themselves wrong with their idiotic experiments. Some of those ones have come back to the community to try and convince the others. It never works and the grift continues. I’m honestly surprised they haven’t killed themselves or others with their homemade rockets.
Your christian perspective is skewed. You should re-align it with the real, existing world.
Last Thursdayism, all of reality came into existence as is ten seconds ago, maybe.
Counterpoint, Next Thursdayism, reality doesn’t exist yet and your memory of reading this was manufactured at the moment of creation to try to convince you it had already happened.
This sentence makes just as much sense as young earth creationism
It’s not…impossible…we can’t really describe what “consciousness” is. How do we know the universe doesn’t explode and restore-from-savestate every 10 seconds, and we just keep on meeking through blisfully unaware?
You ever read “Timeline”, by Michael Crichton? Not exactly his best book…and definitely not his best movie (unless you’re the type to swoon for Paul Walker, in which case…alright). But in it they talk about time travel and compare it to a fax machine, except the original is ‘destroyed’. What “goes back in time” is actually a carbon copy, a clone. I think it was Timeline, at least.
It’s probably been brought up countless other times in Sci-Fi as well. Probably dozens just in Star Trek alone. But I’m not much of a sci-fi buff. But I think about that every time teleportation, or time-travel, or even cloning, like in “The 6th Day”, shows up in stories.
But ultimately, the particles get destroyed, meaning the entire body gets destroyed, so with it, the consciousness. So really, you must die every time you teleport, or time-travel, or whatever, right? But you’re completely unaware of it. You’re just a new copy, destroyed and re-assembled. A person of Theseus. Lights out on one side, lights on on the other.
But…like, lights out is lights out, right?
Maybe I’m just stoned. What are we talking about again?
I had no idea who Paul Walker was, so I looked him up. What do you know, I am the kind to swoon for him!
Oh god, there are soo many easy ways out of a literal interpretation of the bible…time isn’t the same for God, etc.
Lead can’t exist in a 7000 year timeframe…
Hand-waving it all away is their superpower. Hon, with “The Lord™”, all things are possible. Even lead in a 7,000 year time frame.
Not to mention that most of them consider science to be suspicious and wouldn’t have even the remotest idea of what lead has to do with anything. Even if you tried to explain it like you’d explain to a 5 year old, they would not get it. Partially because they aren’t capable, but partially because they don’t want to get it.
I like next-Tuesdayism. The universe will be created next Tuesday, in the exact state it will be then. What you think you’re experiencing now is the false memory that will have existed once the universe exists.
Thia people vote and drive and hold office. Every day it’s harder to not fall into misanthropy
Technically, neither side can prove our experiential realities are procedurally generated because for all we know CERN is the equivalent of Mario and Luigi smashing Bob-ombs together. Meditation leads to some insights though, such as how important intention is in the entanglement process of the mind. Whether this entanglement process is Karma and results in the procedural generation of each of our realities is up for debate, and personally I don’t want to debate someone who won’t do their own experiments to know what I’m talking about.
You could have used a lot less words to say “I understand absolutely nothing about physics, especially the meaning of the word ‘entanglement.’”
I understand the mind and consciousness.
Simply, if String A is entangled with String B but not String C, then AB is true and AC is false. Further, these entanglements can möbiate, or defile themselves as the Buddhists say, meaning they can store a half-twist in each entanglement, and this is what creates dualistic dichotomy and thus is the foundation of all illusions of having a self.
Are you a “self?” Are you still stuck on that?
Additionally, the logic structures that form can create nested categories, so a square is a rectangle but a rectangle isn’t a square, yet both are quadrilaterals and polygons. Lastly, each section of the matrix can return null, which can be implicit or explicit. The sum of all these mechanisms can represent all forms of the cognition you experience.
You are not a “self.” You are a topological matrix, like light, which is neither a particle or wave, but a sum of entanglements defined by a transcendental particle (Alpha) that can be in multiple places at the same time and communicate instantaneously with each part of itself. You are God, retard. You just forgot in the illusion of being a self.
Nothing you’ve said makes sense, and the additional pictures you’ve provided are concerning. Are you seeing a psychiatrist?
Like, as someone who has studied and taught physics, none of what you said is intelligible.
Sure, just default to assuming the syntactically and semantically correct words you didn’t understand are gibberish. Fucking boys I have to deal with…
Do you need me to explain. I have, somewhere in these million words I wrote in character for my state-sponsored job.
My job: Crackhead, because I wasn’t good en0ugh yo bee a pothead, qhich is a FESTIVAL COP. Y’know, I’m that crazy person on public transit or whateverz mouthing off, doing drugs, trying to get into fights, and doing two things, objectively; networking, and counterintelligence.
Networking; hi, my name’s Victoria Phoenix. I’m a juggler and a skilled righter abd comedian.
Counterintelligence: I poopied my pants, Epstein was a cop and is thus alive because pf tbat, I ear dog shit for lunch cuz it yummy

Physics. Cool
Metaphysics. Cooler.
Pataphysics. Coolest.
The reason we have the occult in the occident is because we run a police state in western civilization, and the Bible is the crust of the truth to control those people who cannot think for themselves (theists+atheists; idiots, both)
“You are God, retard” 🤣🤣

Yea, I’m full of myself because I bully myself to do what I put my mind to
Are you talking about quantum entanglement? What do you mean by intention influencing that?
Intention is the only thing you control, and is what entangles you with the symbols sent to you via the Ālaya-vijñāna. I’m going to copy something I wrote recently:
The simple argument is simulation theory, but I try to put effort into what I do, so I’m going to walk you through a thought experiment.
Everything you experience is self-contained within your neurons, right? Well, you must be reading or consuming these words from some device, right? But you’re not directly experiencing that device, literally, yea? What you experience is a representation of that thing in your neurons, so you never ever experience the external world, and thus everything you experience can be said to be you. So, that device is you, and there is a refracted reflection of me inside of you right now.
This is, y’know, the kid bending the spoon in the Matrix; there is no spoon, the spoon is an extension of the observers’ consciousness. And, if you’re familiar with the underlying concept of Plato’s allegory of the cave and the idea of being a mind in a vat, there’s no evidence that the external world is in any way the way we perceive it to be.
And I believe, from a lifetime of observation and non-normative experiences that we are not featherless bipeds on an Earth, but rather pockets of consciousness called monads in a monadic nodal communication system, where the “Server” connecting and reconciling the intentions of each of us monads experiencing our own parallel universe reality is what Jesus called his Father and is what the Buddhists call the Ālaya-vijñāna, or storehouse consciousness.
Your character mumbo jumbo aside, I agree simulation theory could be true but the same as the proposed Äther carrying the electromagnetic field, it is not possible to be proven wrong so it is ultimately useless.
I don’t agree that our consciousness can choose what to do. I think it’s just an illusion. In that sense your proposal that we steer our experiences by ourself through choosing with which systems to interact, in my opinion, is false. Even if you assume the brain in a vat setup, assuming quantum physics holds in the “real” universe, we just end up with one huge system government by a very complicated wave function
a very complicated wave function
Most people call that God. The Buddhists and occultists have gone further to describe inner mechanisms through inner observation and interacting with “it,” as it has an intelligence if you let it. The mechanism of belief plays a role in determining how it can communicate. For instance, if you know there is nothing random in the universe, God can talk through dice rolls, which is where the etymology of the word “sorcerer” comes from; a caster of lots, and “casting lots” is in the bible 47 times. Synchronicity is what Carl Jung called the overarching phenomena, which I recommend as a stepping off point to begin exploring these features of the mind/existence.
But, back to a more traditional view, some Buddhist sutras go into absurd depth of describing such things, with my life partner currently getting into studying hyperbolic geometry and topology for him to better understand what this or that monk was talking about. There’s one sutra that describes the Ālaya-vijñāna in ten thousand pages. I certainly can’t do that justice in a comment on the internet, which is why I choose to default to trying to make myself interesting so maybe someone will look into my mountains of work over the years.
Quantum entanglement is karmic entanglement. Read what the Buddha said and tell me that doesn’t apply to quantum entanglement. See my other comment I just made.
when people flat out refuse to consider facts, evidence, reality in forming their worldview, then the only thing left is mockery and ridicule, lest other people buy into the stupid bullshit
religion is a fucking cancer on the human species–it’s causing preventable deaths (“nO iNsULiN fOr BaBy!!! PRAYING WILL FIX IT”), and it’s long past time for it to be relegated to the embarrassing/shameful/fucking asinine drawer of history files
Now remember: These people are still allowed to vote…
And worse they exist in sufficient numbers for political parties wanting to cater to their views and ideas, changing the political landscape. Influencing policies, law making.
(This is a pretty echoey comment I guess)
echo “In fact, sometimes you get the impression they’re the only ones who vote.” echo “” > this.nation
They captured the religious racists in the south with the “Southern strategy” then Jerry Falwell captured the “religious” right with his anti-abortion message. From there we slithered into the Republican utopia of corporate dictatorship, poverty, ignorance and unaffordability.
Religion is indeed a plague on humanity.
The problem is they turn the ridicule around to “confirm” their beliefs and push themselves further in.
Cult behavior
“God put those fossils there to test our faith!”
Always gets me.
They’d sooner believe that their god would lie to them rather than that they’re wrong.
Wait. If God lies to you, is it blasphemy to call Him out on it?
Not to them, their god lies to SCIENTISTS and not THEM! They know better than to follow the false breadcrumbs left by their almighty.
The sad thing is that even mockery probably won’t help much, because this type of person, unfortunately, defends their ignorance with the very same, utterly idiotic strategy that allows those who control them to shield their outrageous nonsense from rational arguments: They convince their deluded followers that they belong to “the select few” who know the truth—“the enlightened”, or whatever they call themselfs. Thus, they proudly flaunt their absurd ignorance, paying no heed to arguments or ridicule, since they are genuinely convinced that they are the only ones who cannot be deceived.
However, these people cannot—and, above all, do not want to—realize that the deception lies precisely in their leaders’ strategy, for that would mean, of course, that they have wasted half their lives on some charlatan who has not only shamelessly exploited them but has also made them the laughingstock of society. Their idiocy is an integral part of their self-image and their personality, which is why turning away from it often means turning away from everything by which they define themselves - and that surely is a hard thing to do.
These are the typical tactics used by cult leaders. Unfortunately, there is an frighteningly high number of people who are susceptible to them—and not just in matters of religion, as the MAGA cult makes abundantly clear: It operates according to the same logic—an in-group is formed and sworn to the cult leaders’ goals, with the immediate understanding that rationality must be replaced by slavish faith in the leader or some kind of promise of salvation, because otherwise the cult members would, of course, immediately see through all the crude lies.
It’s truly amazing that even in an age when almost everyone carries the entirety of human knowledge in their pocket, it still works, but unfortunately, the internet also has the effect of bringing like-minded people together in their absurd worldview, as is the case with Truth Social, for example—though the name of this deranged platform already makes it very obvious that it is a tool designed precisely and exclusively to fulfill the aforementioned cult tactics.
Edit: Of course, you’re still absolutely right: scorn and contempt are the only things one can show toward people like this—they themselves are probably beyond redemption anyway, but openly rejecting them makes it harder for them to recruit new members for their cult. These people should be treated for what they are: a danger to society, even if they themselves are often nothing more than foot soldiers who may even be unwittingly advancing the interests of their evil masters.
It’s probably corny to reference Star Wars here but Andor really nailed it with the Mon Mothma speech when she said the distance between what’s said in the senate and known to be true has become an abyss and that the loss of an objective reality was perhaps the most dangerous thing to risk in a democracy. There is no common ground to have with these nutjobs because every time you offer them an inch, they’ll ask for a mile more.
Maybe we should start reviewing churches the same way: Nice church but the guy at the front was talking funny about his imaginary friend… Only two stars.
Lol the stained glass was beautiful but they hate gays here
The priest clearly doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Matthew 6:5-6 states “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”. One star for not obeying the Bible.
You are not wrong but Jesus wasn’t against group prayer, he intended on building a church a few pages later
Matthew 16:18
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
You should have referenced a couple of pages after that where he has something direct to say about preachers
Matthew 23:8-12
“But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Jesus had some pretty rad opinions even if his reasoning was often flaky
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Peter was demonstrably a superstitious idiot throughout the gospels. Jesus was just letting us all know what kind of people would be in charge of the organized religions with his name on them.
Yes, sure, he’s a little flaky. But God is just so perfect, all loving, and timeless…
Exodus 21:20-21:
Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.
That was probably progressive at that time though… I mean, the ones who wrote it, not the imaginary space guy.
Matthean Jesus is cut your balls off for god levels of wild.
I’m not sure one can just pick lines out of random Gospels as ‘what Jesus said’, the US got really weird with that a while back with a red letter 4 gospel meme thing going viral.
I’m not sure one can just pick lines out of random Gospels as ‘what Jesus said’,
That’s literally how Christianity works. I don’t know of any denomination that follows the entire Bible exactly. It’s not even possible because the text is self-contradictory in places.
contradiction kinda the point, there’s four gospels even just in the mainline canon
if one can’t cope with contradictions there is little point in even attempting to approach scripture
Meme? I’ve got a red letter Bible from the 70s.
Red letters bibles were meme’ing hard in the US before the 1970’s but the 70’s is where memetics pops up as a theory afair.
A bit like apples were falling before Newton figured out it’s because we live in a clockwork universe.
This right here. If you’re going to post a review of a church, review them based on how their actions conflict with what they claim to believe.
Don’t forget the slavery.
And the incest
More importantly, if your faith is having an effect on policy… guess what, your religion must now start paying taxes.
Why should the rest of us pay for your idiotic ideas that are now turning into policy and law.
That would gladly pay the taxes if it means they get to force their religion on people. They already openly.defy election law by endorsing candidates and "vote yes on prop 66” statements during services, inviting prosecution because they expect to win in court.
I mean, if people understand “no taxation without representation” well, then logically: “no representation without taxation” should be equally easy to get behind.
They are already in our politics, may as well get them to pay for that privilege.
Well … I’d enforce the separation.
It’s wild that some people do genuinely believe the earth is only 6000 years old.
There are human-made artefacts you can go look at in a museum right now, potentially even touch with your own hands, that are older than 6000 years old.
Even if you refused to accept other archaeological evidence, recorded human history goes back about 10000 years. So are those 4000 years worth of humans just non-existent?((Edit - @[email protected] is kinda right. The very earliest of proto-writing, for when one could even argue that recorded history begins, is around 6000-6600 years ago. So that actually would be within the Christian faith timeline, but just barely. And I seriously doubt the Christians had these people in mind as their earliest ancestors.))
Like it really must take some proper mental gymnastics to deny something you can see with your own eyes and say some demon made it all up specifically to fuck with Christians.
Humanity in 6k years would be quite the speedrun at a humorous glance.
Any other perspective arguing this is absolute lunacy.
Exactly. By the time you get to 6500 years ago, humanity has already been doing settlements and agriculture that we have archeological evidence of for 1000s of years.
Judging from the estimated timeline of humanity, 6500 years wouldn’t even be long enough for us to migrate beyond the hunter-gatherer system and stone tools.
Our ancestors had 100,000s of years, and we only got to settlements and agriculture maybe 10-20K years ago.
Also mind biological changes aren’t really quick (but sometimes spontaneous, yes) and even I can now talk about things that happened in two different centuries. So a few thousand years aren’t even that much generations (even if you count shorter lifespan but that is mostly a statistical thing due to high death rate of babies).
Recorded human history doesn’t go back 10’000 years. It’s closer to 5000 years.
You’re very much right. Complex writing systems like we have now begin around 4000-5000 years ago. You can get closer to the right number with proto-writing systems, but unfortunately just barely within what the Christian faith allows.
I guess the Christians can take the W on that one, discounting all over physical evidence of humanity’s existence beyond 6500 years ago.
Quite easy to explain: 6000-6500 years ago, when god created the world, it put those things there during the creation process for… reasons.
Checkmate atheists!
Because he’s a trickster! Haha! And if you fall for one of his tricks, he sends you to hell! For eternity!
The sanest worldview.
No, you see, the devil, who is a trickster and definitely not the same entity as God, created those fake artifacts to own the libs
And the Devil was an angel that went woke!
I hate that guy!
And God, all-powerful and in control of everything, just let him do it. He could stop the devil but he just…doesn’t.
Somebody’s gotta give these babies cancer.
It seemed so plausible!
This is just last-thursdayism with extra steps
So when someone complains like this, you ask them if they are saying God can’t create 300 million year old caves when he created the world?
It’s to test the belief of christians of course.
“I do not understand,” reads an ancient line of pictographs depicting the sun, the moon, water, and a Sumerian who appears to be scratching his head. “A booming voice is saying, ’Let there be light,’ but there is already light. It is saying, ’Let the earth bring forth grass,’ but I am already standing on grass.”
“Everything is here already,” the pictograph continues. “We do not need more stars.”
(thank you for sharing the link. i hadn’t read that one yet and it’s very good <3)
In North Africa 40,000 years old tools have been found as well
There is also hand stencil art in places like Indonesia and Australia from 67,800 years ago
And as I understand it, the aboriginese can actually “read” the stensils and paintings. A continuous culture over 40k years old…
It would be like we could read and understand the Lascaux Cave paintings like modern signs. And they are freshly painted compared to the Australian stuff at a mere 20k years old.
This does not get the attention it deserves
We’ve found 28,000 year old dildos.
To be clear, yes there are sex toys older than Christians think the world is old.
Around 1400 AD, the word “dildo” was first used. It derives from the Latin word “dilatare,” which means “open wide,” and the Italian word “diletto,” which means “delight.”

Well, that is definitely something I hadn’t read before
It’s my favorite argument against young earth creationists. 28k year old dildo, your argument is invalid.
Like it really must take some proper mental gymnastics to deny something you can see with your own eyes and say some demon made it all up specifically to fuck with Christians.
Well, you can’t see the age of a thing. And young-earth creationists certainly don’t understand how we know the ages of things. So instead, they believe what they’re told by people they trust, and those people say shit like “were you there?”
And honestly, my response (if it ever comes up) will be this: “Yes. I was there. I am God. I was there before there was. I formed this world from nothing. I am your God. Worship me.” And if they question any of that, I will respond with “WERE YOU THERE?!! CUZ I FUCKING WAS!!! AND I SURE AS HELL DIDN’T SEE YOU THERE!!!” followed by “PROVE ME WRONG”
Thank you, have a nice day/night <3
We can count tree rings to 12000 years ago with our eyeballs. You don’t even need any fancy tools.
For a lot of people, science is just a matter of believing in something someone tells you, no different from religion…
While that is a valid argument for someone to make, I’d counter by saying that science is fundamentally built on the idea of empiricism and falsifiability.
With enough time, money, and the right equipment you could theoretically retrace every discovery science has ever made, from the stone age to the modern day Dr. Stone style.
Whereas the same really cannot be said for Religion. You can’t test for God. You can’t discover a miracle. There’s no hard evidence, only belief.
Now try explaining that to someone who thinks science is a matter of belief. Spoilers: they will stop paying attention after you say “empiricism and falsifiability”.
Yeah. Fair enough. That counter only really works against someone playing devil’s advocate or who would actually hear you out.
It’d have to be a bit snappier otherwise. Probably just “Every scientific discovery ever made could be retested and remade if you had enough time and money. There’s no test on Earth you can do to actually show me God”
Well I’m pretty sure you can boil ALL science down to a simple equation. 1 + 1 = 2. Then science is built up from that. Until 1 + 1 isn’t equal to 2, I’ll go ahead and trust in science.
This exact thing happened to me when I was visiting Luray Caverns in Virginia. A kid kept interrupting the tour guide to spout this nonsense, while his parents looked on proudly. The rest of the group eventually audibly groaned whenever the kid opened his mouth. Besides the absolute nonsense the parents were happily teaching this kid to be a rude dickhead.
They are trained to act when some words are said. The parents reward this behavior because it “brings more souls to salvation”. In the end it just annoys professionals and makes them unable to teach in class or to even give a tour.
Worse is it’s almost guaranteed these insufferable types will suddenly clutch their pearls if you tell them to stop talking “you’re interrupting my presentation” “you’re suppressing the word of God. I’m the victim here, not these people I’m repeatedly annoying”
“You are using the Lord for your own Vainglory, you claim your words for His, that is Heresy at best and Apostasy in truth. You have turned your back on The Lord and thus must be silent on his workings Apostate.”
I’ve found this tack works real good for shutting up most crazys in public spaces, I don’t recommend using it in private or with people you have to interact with regularly/repeatedly.
They got lost, never to be seen again, and the rest of the tour group has no clue where they went? What a shame.
Future redditor
Imagine being confident that its not 300m, but unable to pin it down to the exact number of years. It was only 6000-6500 years ago, did you lose count?
Both views can be right, assuming big enough errorbars.
Earth is 6000 years old ±14 billion years.
Earth was actually created last Thursday.
Actually, no. The earth was created this morning, when I woke up. I was dropped into it in media res, complete with a backstory and the lore. It will be deleted when I go to bed tonight.
The earth will actually be retained for quality and training purposes, and your personal data will shared with our 6000 intimate partners.
Earth, the roguelike edition!
With pay2win features and broken stats!
It’s recreated every time I blink
Actually all that exists runs entirely in RAM. But it’s virtual RAM so nothing really exists. This is all just an illusion of existence, a false reality. Persistent potential state that is never realized.
See, I like the conviction. You know what youre talking about.
With these errorbars, the earth was created 13 billion years in the future
Just a rounding error.
We have evidence of breweries older than that
The author of that review also doesn’t know how to use punctuation.
“They gave inaccurate information from a Christian perspective,” is most straightforwardly read as if the person giving the information is Christian.
Whereas, “They gave inaccurate information, from a Christian perspective,” is what they meant, that the receiver of the information is Christian.
that immediately annoyed me as well. I was ready to discount this person’s opinion before I even finished reading it.
Yeah, I had originally read it as if the tour guide was giving incorrect information, like by using religious terminology instead of B.C.E./C.E.
What if the tour guide says “300 million B.C.E.”?
lol, in my defense I had that thought after only reading the first 2 sentences, and I could see a cave tour including information like “This cave was discovered in <year> B.C.E./C.E.” But “300 million B.C.E.” would certainly get me to literally laugh out loud if a cave tour guide said that.
The Venn Diagram of People who believe a literal interpretation of the Bible & People who don’t know how to write well, is pretty much a circle within a circle.
That makes me think. Has there ever been a person who actually wrote a lot of fiction, like a novelist or something, who read the Bible and didn’t see signs that the authors were mostly either making shit up or retelling a story that they heard? Like, if it really was the inspired word of God, like God is just whispering in people’s ears, you’d think an author would sense something unusual or different about the quality of the writing, but it’s really no different from any old shit that some human might write.
So, it may in fact be that the only people who can believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible are people who cannot write well. Once you learn to write well, you lose the ability to believe in the literal interpretation of the Bible. Well, that ignores the real problem of compartmentalization, but it’s an interesting idea, I think.
Yeah that confused me, but it didn’t annoy me until you pointed it out lol.
Probably won’t help…

If the fundamentalist Christians understood any of that they would be so angry right now.
Lead can exist without having previously been uranium.
But it can’t exist without having been Hydrogen.
Yeah, you can’t argue against creationism when creationism itself is not falsifiable. If every piece of evidence to the contrary can be explained by “God made it that way on purpose.” Then no amount of evidence will ever be considered enough.
You have to give it to God to have planted so many deceptive clues a bit everywhere. What a prankster!
GodGPT, make an earth but make it an old earth, like several billions years old. I am going to make a new intelligent species and then prank the shit out of them!
Oh that’s horrible, why would you do this to yourself? 😂
Mind you, the amount of work that went into planting all that fake evidence is a pretty strong indicator that, by far, Scientists are the people whose opinion God cares the most about.
Excellent point!
There’s so much evidence already existing that anyone claiming otherwise is just ignorant, either out of lack of education or by choice.
It could have been a water pipe for example.
can it really though? read this the other week. https://sciencereader.com/glossary/uranium-decay-series/ i am not an expert in this subject, but find it interesting.
Yes, Lead-204 is primordial, not radiogenic.
I believe uranium only gets to exist from having previously been lead, and eventually decays back into lead.
Just like the dinosaur bones, god created the bones and placed them there. They do not disprove any thing.

You can be an idiot who thinks themselves a geologist tho.
